Grace's Cole Slaw

When I was a newlywed, I was always asking my big sister for her recipes. This is one of many. Grace is an excellent cook and baker.

Here's my beautiful sister Grace

1 medium green cabbage, sliced very thin (use food processor for best results)

1 small onion, grated

1 large carrot, shredded

½ green pepper (seeded and diced very small)

3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp salt

½ tsp celery seed

1 Tbsp white sugar

1/8 tsp white pepper

½ - ¾ cup mayonnaise

Directions:

Combine cabbage, onion, carrots, green pepper and remaining ingredients except mayonnaise.

Toss very well. Let stand until ready to serve. One hour before serving, add mayonnaise and mix very well.

I'm making it for a BBQ at my neighbor's tomorrow.

As you can see, I doubled the recipe and using both green and red cabbage.

I am keeping it in the refrigerator till tomorrow. One hour before I leave, I will add the mayonnaise. This will serve 15-20 people.
